A History of Nail Art

A sample of my past escapades in nail art.

A year or two ago, I used to be really in to nail art. I'd think of a new design every week, and paint my nails accordingly. It first started when I saw my friend with polka dots on her nails. It was such a simple design, but it looked really nice and very Cath Kidston-esque. So I decided to do the same. I ordered some nail art brushes from ebay (which I still use now, I rebut them) and when they came, I started. The first one I did was red with white polka dots, which you can see above, and then I branched out into other designs. I even did cupcakes once.

These days, I barely even paint my nails, but after looking through my past efforts, and a request from my friend Charlotte to do nail art tutorials on here, I've decided to start back up again. I'm tentatively planning to post a new design each Saturday (might as well have a little feature going) sometimes with a theme, sometimes just a random design, and I thought, what better time to start than the month of all things spooky?! So expect ghosts, pumpkins and the like coming soon.
