Birthday

So yesterday I turned 27 (I know, right). It felt strange to have my birthday on a Saturday; it meant that, in theory, I could go out and celebrate all weekend. That didn't happen, due to my dance show commitments (it was the dress rehearsal today, so no heavy birthday night out was had over here), so I thought I'd just show you all what I got for my birthday.

Books- Now, it's no secret that I'm a massive book lover, and so I usually get some form of book as a present on every birthday and Christmas, which I'm definitely not complaining about. Imagine my surprise when I got two books (and one more still to come) this year. Everyone knows how much I admire JK and love the Harry Potter books, so my mum thought to get me The Casual Vacancy. The chocolate book is filled with mouth watering recipes that I can't wait to try.

Elsa Doll- I am currently trying to collect all of the Disney Princess action-figure style dolls. I already have Pocahontas, Ariel and two Cinderellas (one classic, one live action), and Elsa is definitely one that I'm glad I now have in my collection.

Disney Couture Necklace- This is the only one of my birthday presents that I actually asked for, the rest were surprises. I've wanted a Disney Couture necklace for years, but it has taken me so long to decide on which one that I've only just got one. I went for the castle because it's a classic; I mean, who doesn't love a castle?

Hair Accessories- I got two hair crown things for my birthday: one from the lovely Crown & Glory in my Glitterati box, and one from Lee's parents.

I also got sweets. I am a grown up, honest.

Flowers from my next door neighbour.

Candles & Candle Holder- I have recently become somewhat of a Yankee Candle fan, and I adore the Simply Home range that they do in Asda, I'm always picking them up here and there, so when I got a whole box of them from my best friend, I was a very happy young lady indeed.

I know that a birthday cake doesn't really count as a present, but, look, I got a Disney Princess cake!

All in all, I had a lovely birthday, and so far, I don't mind being 27 one bit. Even if I did slip at my dress rehearsal today.

Nic
