Five Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is fast approaching, so, naturally, it's time to start thinking of costumes. I have so many ideas running through my head for costumes every year, so, for anyone who might be a little bit stuck, I thought I'd show you five of my favourite ideas that come in to my head year in, year out.

Columbia
This is my number 1 costume that I want to wear every single year. I know Magenta is a more popular costume choice (it is far easier, I'll admit) but there's something about Columbia's sparkly-as-anything outfit that I just adore. One year, I will do this costume.

Sally
Tim Burton is probably the King of Halloween (sorry Jack) so a Tim character was bound to be on this list. And obviously, it was the adorable rag doll Sally. This costume would actually be really easy to make, but I have seen a couple of good ones that you can buy.

Sarah Sanderson
I have actually made this costume for Halloween! Hocus Pocys is legit one of the best films ever, and Sarah is clearly the best witch from the film, so this is a really good idea for anyone who wants to go as a witch sans bin bag. (The only acceptable kids Halloween costume in the 90s)

Wednesday Addams
I was actually going to choose Morticia for this one, but at the last minute I changed to Wednesday because, well, she can breathe in her clothes. Another extremely easy one to do, this is an absolute Halloween classic.

Christine Daae
One for the adventurous/musical fans out there is the main lady from Phantom of the Opera, Christine. This one will work best if you have someone willing to dress as the phantom with you, but I think Halloween is as good a time as any to put on a big, flouncy dress.

I hope this has given you some inspiration for your Halloween costume.
