My 2017 Reading Challenge Mid-Way Point

It is pretty much half way through the year now, so I thought I would talk about my reading challenges (yes, I have more than one) and how they are going so far. I like setting myself challenges and lists, so I am happy to set yearly reading challenges, as reading is one of my absolute favourite hobbies.

So my first challenge is just a challenge of reading a certain amount of books in a year. I, as usual, set mine for 50, as I've achieved this for the past two years, and I think more would just be too much of a push, so I stuck to 50 this year, and it's going pretty well. As it stands, with a week still left of June, I have read 24 books, so I'm almost halfway, and I'm currently reading my 25th book and have a 26th book to read on the plane next week, so I'll be well on the way to doing this one.

My second challenge of the year is one I am doing with my mum; an a-z reading challenge, where you read a book by an author with every letter of the alphabet. I am also doing very well with this one, I only have nine letters left to go. This challenge has pushed me to really think about the authors that I am reading, and I enjoy trying to find an author for each letter. My mum is still beating me with this one though.

Are you doing any reading challenges this year? If so how are you doing with them?

Nic
