Travel-Back Thursday

In the spirit of yesterday's travel themed post, today I thought I'd talk a little bit about the trips that myself and Lee took last year.

Day Trips: 

Southport.

This was actually the first trip Lee and I took together in February last year, and it was freezing! We wanted to get out of Manchester for the day for relatively cheap, so we went to the seaside (we didn't think of Blackpool)

Chester Zoo & Sea Life Centre.

These were another two places that we decided to go to on a whim. The Sea Life Centre wasn't really a day trip, it's not too far away, but the day after we'd been there we decided to look at more animals and go to the zoo.

We also went to Liverpool, Sheffield, Chester and Alton Towers (the Smiler was supposed to open on the day we went, but it didn't.)

Weekend Away.

London.

For Lee's birthday, I got us tickets to see To Kill A Mockingbird at Regent's Park open air theatre, so in June, we decided to make a weekend of it, and so we did. We walked around London doing some sightseeing both days, and had some lovely pub grub too.

Holidays.

Berlin.

In November, we went to Berlin. We'd already been to Paris twice so we decided to go somewhere different. We saw the museum island, Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish memorial. However, neither of us really liked it, but oh well, at least we know not to go again.

Paris.

Obviously everyone knows we've been to Paris, we intend to go many more times. It was our first holiday together, and we both instantly fell in love with it. We did all the touristy things, and we loved every minute.
