Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment

By the time you read this I'll be in Disneyland, so this post seemed especially appropriate for today.

Last Friday, I went on a very impromptu trip to the Manchester Arena to see Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment with my friend Sam. I used to go to Disney On Ice every year without fail when I was a kid, but I'd not been in years, so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect from it, especially seeing as they were doing 4 films and when I used to go, I only ever remember there being one theme. But as soon as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy skated in to the arena, I knew I'd love it.

The first segment was Toy Story, which, because I'm not exactly a Toy Story fan (soz), I'll admit I wasn't looking forward to it. But I was pleasantly surprised. They did a mini reenactment of Toy Story 3, which is actually the only one I really liked, so that was a bonus, and the skater playing Andy was amazing.

Next up was The Little Mermaid, which, although really short, was my favourite segment. Ariel was by far the best skater of the night, and they even got some kids on the ice for Under the Sea, which was adorable.

After the interval was the Cars bit. I've never seen Cars so I had no idea what to expect from this bit, but it was a nice little segment. I was amazed that there seemed to be actual cars on the ice (I know they weren't real).

The final segment was Frozen, which got lots of cheers and singing from the audience. It took up most of the second half, it really is still that popular. It was a good way to end the show, and right at the end, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy came back on in new outfits to say goodbye.

Overall, it was a wonderful night, and I can't wait for the next one.
