Dress, shoes- Primark

Ever since I read Memoirs of a Geisha, I've become a fan of all things oriental. That is where this dress comes in. When I first saw it, I instantly thought, kimono. I don't know what it was about it that made me think that: the florals, the colours, or even the fact that it is silk. Maybe a combination of all three. All I know is, as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. Then I saw that it had been reduced to £5, I didn't even know that Primark had sales, and I decided I would buy it there and then.

I decided to wear the dress for a day out around Salford Quays, where we munched on baguettes, wandered around the water and even sat in deckchairs to watch the Wimbledon final. It was a lovely Sunday, and the fact that this dress is loose enough to hide a multitude of sins makes it even more perfect.
