Printiki Prints

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely people over at Printiki to ask me if I wanted to order some prints of my Instagram photos. Naturally, I said yes and waited until a couple of weeks after my Disney trip so I had some beautiful Disneyland Paris photos printed out. So I carefully selected 30 of my photos and ordered them. The ordering process was so simple and my prints arrived very quickly. I would highly recommend Printiki to order some prints. I am using mine in a Disneyland Paris scrapbook, which I will show you soon, but they are also a perfect size to hang on your walls, use in photo albums or in your own creative projects.

You can order your very own prints from your own Instagram here

Easy Sunday

Jumper- Urban Outfitters / Skirt- H&M / Coat- Topshop

I'm back with a non-Disney outfit post after what feels like forever. I thought I would keep it a simple outfit for the first one, I wanted a nice casual Sunday outfit for just browsing around the shops, so that is exactly what I went for. I bought this Alice's Adventures in Wonderland an absolute age ago from Urban Outfitters, I like that, because it is cream, it will pretty much go with anything. I decided to wear a floral skirt from H&M which I also haven't worn in a long time. I also wore it with my pink coat, because I just wear that with everything now. So it was a nice easy outfit for a nice lazy Sunday.

Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux

A couple of weeks ago I started doing book reviews on Mondays, but then I stopped, and now that I've fallen behind on my reading challenge for the year (50 fyi) I decided to reinstate them, starting with a book I read a few weeks ago; the Phantom of the Opera.

Now I have seen the musical and the film of this story many times in the past, but I had never thought of reading the book, until I saw it in a charity shop for £1.50, because it'd be rude not to, right? The book is written really well, and I love that it follows the story of the musical that we all know. It even adds more to the story, which adds an extra layer to this tragic love story. In this book, the phantom is referred to as a ghost, which, although sounds less poetic than a phantom, still, in my opinion, accurately describes what most people think of the phantom. I like that Christine seems more, in a way, possessed by the phantom, and the angel of music persona is more focused upon.

Overall, I really liked this book, it draws parallels to the musical and adds extra to it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Disneybounding

I tried Disneybounding for the first time on my trip to Disneyland Paris in March, and on my next DLP trip, I am going to be part of four group Disneybounds, so I thought I would write a blog post all about Disneybounding; what it is, some of my favourite Disneybounds, and my Disneybound plans for my next trip.

I'm sure most of you know what Disneybounding is, but for those who don't, I'll explain it. It is when you wear clothes that mean you are subtely dressing as a particular character, by wearing the same colours, items of clothing, etc. Basically, it's a way for adults to dress as Disney characters in the parks without actually breaking any rules. Some people are amazing at it, which you will see a bit later on in this blog post.

For my first, and only, Disneybound to date, I chose Princess Aurora, and my outfit was an ode to the make it pink/make it blue argument. On the same day, Rachel Disneybounded as Rapunzel, wearing a flower headband and tones of pink and purple. Our Disneybounds even got recognised by a girl who runs a Disneybounding Facebook group. It was an enjoyable experience, especially for me as a beginner cosplayer, being able to put pieces together to represent a character, and one that I am eager to carry on doing, which leads me on to the next part of my blog post; my Disneybounding plans for my next Disneyland Paris trip.

So, as I said earlier in this blog post, I am planning on doing four Disneybounds on my next Disneyland Paris trip (which will be a Team Swim special), so I thought I would share some ideas for the Disneybounds I am planning on doing on this trip.

So the first one is a Peter Pan Disneybound, for which I think I'll be wearing a green dress, with a tan belt and either brogues or ankle boots, and my Peter Pan ears. The second one is Daisy, for which I will be wearing a purple t-shirt and a white scallop edge skirt. The third is Cinderella, for which I am planning on wearing a powder blue tulle skirt and a cream blouse, and the final one is one of the daughters of Triton, and I'll be wearing a pink cropped tee, a pink scaly skirt and some mermaid ears. I hope the outfits turn out the same as they are in my head, I will be very happy if they do.

And finally, I wanted to share some of my favourite Disneybounds. These are all from Instagram, and I will link the Instagrams underneath the photos.

Alizea as Snow White

Grace and Sophie as Mickey Mouse.

Disneybounding Queen Lottie as Chip and Cinderella.

Sammy as Donald Duck.

Anna and Vivi as Belle and Ariel.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I look forward to showing you all my future Disneybounds.

Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary: 12th April 2017

So last Wednesday I went on a day trip to experience the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, on the 12th April, so I thought I would share the day with you.

We got in to the park not long after 8, and waited for the welcome show, which I watched with a few others that I knew. It was absolutely phenomenal, there were so many rare characters there to celebrate, the whole thing was wonderfully staged and choreographed, the CMs did a flashmob with Catherine Powell, and everyone I was with ended up a blubbering mess by the end of it. It was a truly magical experience.

Then our day of very long waits began. We queued for two and a half hours to meet Max Goof, and we were only allowed two photos per group with him. It was worth the wait though, as he was a really good meet. There was then a special cavalcade with rare characters, which I watched both times it was on. We had a Market House Deli whilst we waited and sat in the sun. After the two cavalcades, we waited for the parade, during which the dragon actually breathed fire (!!!) and then I renewed my Annual Pass to the Magic Plus, which I now have until September 2018. We then went and met Duffy and Shellie May, and I bought a couple of pins, before me and Jade got some food and left on the rer.

It was one of the most emotionally charged, magical days of my life, and I am truly honoured that I managed to be there as part of the celebrations. I am still not over it, and don't think I will be for a long time. Disneyland Paris, I have one thing to say to you; well done on pulling out of the bag the most magical celebration.

Check out my Youtube in a couple of weeks for my vlog of the day.

Disneyland Paris March Trip Report: Day Three

Welcome to the final day of my Disneyland Paris March trip reports with Rachel, you can see day one here and day two here.

The final day of our trip we were up early for Extra Magic Hours again, and this day we met Minnie and Goofy and Pluto, and rode on Peter Pan's Flight (because I am Peter Pan trash) we then went and met Mickey in his townhouse, which was lovely, and Alice and the Queen of Hearts and Daisy. We also went on Big Thunder Mountain again. After that, we went over to the Studios to watch Mickey and the Magician, which was brilliant, and rode Tower of Terror and Ratatouille.

We then went to eat in Cafe Hyperion again, which was just as nice the second time round, rode the Carousel, and watched the parade. We then went on a couple more rides, and I got a 25th anniversary doughnut, before we headed to the village to do some shopping and went to our hotel for one last drink with Chelsea, where we discussed when we were all coming back to Disneyland Paris, and future planning for Walt Disney World.

I had the best three day trip with Rachel, she really made every moment wonderful. I hope you've all enjoyed these trip reports, and remember to check my YouTube on Saturday for my vlogs.
