Pink Sunday

Top, Skirt, Boots- New Look / Crown- Crown and Glory / Necklace- Disney Couture

So seeing as we now assign colours to days of the week (working in retail means that Black Friday has been high on the list of priorities for about three weeks now) I have decided to call today pink Sunday, because I'm pretty much wearing all pink. This jumper is a godsend; I got it in the New Look sale in September and it has helped me on many a last minute I'm cold type situation. Today, I couldn't help but go all out girlie and pair it with a pink skirt too. I wore my blue coat and a crown from Crown and Glory to break up all the pink, and couldn't resist throwing on my castle necklace to make it even more girly. Pink Sunday is now my new favourite day.

November Glitterati Box

I have always been a bit of an Alice in Wonderland nut; it used to be my favourite book as a child, and don't even get me started on how much I love the 'Golden Afternoon' scene in the film. So when I opened my Glitterati box this month and saw the little drink me card, I was extremely excited.

The box is filled with fantastic accessories, which act as a perfect ode to both the book and the Disney Classic. There's an Alice bow headband, a heart and a spade clip, a 'painting the roses red' crown, and some downright impeccable barrettes, one even has an illustration on!

I also got a moon barrette as a bonus gift, which I'm actually wearing as I type this!

Thanks once again Sophie and Gareth for an amazing box.

Florals for Autumn

Dress- Topshop
Shoes- Primark
Headband- Crown and Glory

I'm finally back with an outfit post! Since Lee started his new job, we've not had a day off together, so no opportunities to take outfit pictures. But this morning, I put my new Topshop dress and dragged Lee to the local park to take some photos.

How nice is this dress? At first, I wasn't entirely convinced about the 70s trends that seem to have dominated 2015 thus far; but as soon as I saw this dress I fell in love. I love the length, the fact that it has a pastel pink colouring to it, and the drop dead gorgeous, floaty as anything sleeves. I decided to go all out girly for this post, with brogues, frilly socks and a pretty little Crown and Glory headband.

Ps. If you enjoy my outfit posts, and if you're feeling kind, you can nominate me and my little old blog for best fashion in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards here. I know I probably don't deserve it, but I do love doing outfit posts.

August Glitterati

I'm so glad I subscribe to Crown & Glory's Glitterati box; every single month they manage to include such beautiful, seasonal items that I can't wait to wear, and this month is no different.

The two headbands are wonderfully Aurumnal, they are actually making me excited for the Aurumn when I never usually would be (I don't fare well in the cold weather) and the hair grip/clips are little bursts of loveliness as always.

I got an extra little surprise this month: because I've been a subscriber for a year I've become a gold card member, meaning I get discount off everything, and this snazzy little badge and gorgeous mirror.

Daisy Dreaming

Blouse- Primark
Skirt- BooHoo
Shoes- Topshop
Necklace- I Love Crafty
Hair Clips- Crown and Glory

How have I managed to go this long without doing an outfit post? I definitely won't be doing that again anytime soon. Anyway, this outfit is a definite Summer winner for me, if only the weather was nice enough to not have to wear tights, oh well, there's always September, right? I love the daisy print on this skirt, daisies are my favourite flower. I also love how it looks with a plain white blouse, I am looking forward to pairing it with longer sleeved blouses when the 11 month Winter starts. I decided to carry on the daisy theme with my Crown and Glory daisy clips and my favourite mermaid necklace, because everyone needs mermaids in their life.

This outfit was perfect for a lazy day of playing board games, planning trips away, and staying in to avoid the rain after quite an indulgent weekend celebrating Lee's new job at TK Maxx.

Glitterati Box: August

August marks the first birthday of the Glitterati, a genius idea from Crown and Glory. If you're not familiar with it, it's a monthly box of absolute hair gems. Some months also have a theme, which brings me on nicely to this month's theme: unicorns. After all, if you can't have unicorns on your birthday, then when can you?

This is unicorn hair.

How amazing is it? I would highly, highly recommend getting a subscription.

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

Blouse, shoes, bag- Primark
Skirt- BooHoo

If there's one thing I love, it's a Disney-themed gift. That's why when my friend Sam got me this lovely Cinderella themed necklace, I immediately loved it! I like that it is quite subtle, and can be worn with anything. Naturally, I decided to wear a few blue items to go with the necklace, after all, if it's good enough for Cinderella, it's good enough for me. I might even have to wear it to go to Disneyland.

Today, Lee and I went to our natural habitat: the park. I would absolutely spend all of my time in the park during the Summer months if I could. I love looking at all the flowers that pop up in parks, so I decided to accessorise accordingly, with a Crown and Glory blue floral crown and my BooHoo daisy skirt. It was a perfect outfit for lazing in the park, planning our latest Paris trip (which is this time next week, I'm so excited!)

Hope you all had a lovely Sunday.

Riviera

Shirt, skirt- Topshop
Shoes- Primark
Headband- Crown and Glory

If there's one classic summer look that I absolutely love, it's the riviera look. There's something you can't quite beat about a pinstripe shirt and white bottoms. I can't pull off white capri pants a la Audrey, so I have to go for a white skirt in my attempts at a riviera look, and, in true Nic style, the skirt has a scallop edge. Seriously, what is it with me and this finish? The Crown and Glory headband tops off the whole riviera attempt I was going for in the recent (two day) heatwave, most of which I spent in work, looking out longingly at everyone enjoying the sun.

One day I will make it to the riviera (I don't mind which), but for now I'm off to wish I were a mermaid/at the seaside.

In the Golden Afternoon

Blouse, Jacket, Shoes- Primark
Skirt- New Look
Headband- Crown and Glory

"You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, especially in the month of June."

I love floral print items, I've actually bought two new floral print items in as many days, so whenever I get the opportunity to wear something floral, I grab it with both hands. I got this skirt last Summer as a complete impulse buy, and I can't believe how much wear I've gotten out of it. I love the colour combination of pink and blue, so the blouse was a natural choice. Today was also the first day this year that I've not worn tights, hooray! I hope this weather sticks around, I have three days off this week and would like to spend most of them outdoors.
