My 2015 Reading Challenge

I'm a big fan of setting myself reading goals, I got the 1001 Books to Read Before you Die a couple of years ago for my birthday, and, since then, I've been determined to complete it. I also set myself yearly reading challenges on Goodreads. Last year, I read 50. However, this year I've dropped ten books and am only challenging myself to read 40.

The reason for this is that I am re-reading the Harry Potter books (Goodreads doesn't count books you've already read). I want to write more this year, and try and get at least one novel manuscript written, and J. K. Rowling inspires me to write like no other writer, especially in these books. They are my favourite books, and I've read them countless times, and I think they will inspire me to write more, and read faster.

These are my reading plans for the year. Sorry if this post was a bit rambly or all over the place, it was, for some reason, a difficult post to articulate.

  1. I'm also re-reading the Harry Potter books this year! I started at the start of January and I'm on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so far. I've been saying I'll re-read the Harry Potter books (again) since I was in high school but I've never got round to it - so it's long overdue! I love how much of the books I'd forgotten and have been missed out of the films - it's almost like reading them for the first time again.
