Paris Day One

Day one of our Paris days of our recent Paris trip was a typical touristy day; seeing the sights and soaking up the Parisian atmosphere. We got the Metro to the Palais-Royal Musee du Louvre, as we decided that that was a nice central location to get around the city, and straight away we saw the Eiffel Tower, which, considering I’ve not seen it since 2016, I was very happy about.

After we’d seen the Eiffel Tower, we got a crepe and a hot drink, because, it was pancake day after all, and we sat and ate that with a spectacular view. We then went toward the Notre Dame along the Seine, taking in all of the wonderful sights along the way. We went into Shakespeare and Company, which is the best shop in France: fact, and we even found some comic book shops in the Latin Quarter for Lee.

A few hours, and 25,000 steps later, we headed back towards Montmartre to have tea in one of our favourite Cafes, and then, after a bottle of wine in a classic red top, we got another bottle of wine for the hotel and headed back for the evening.
