Never Grow Up

Jumper- Primark / Skirt- Topshop / Boots- New Look / Headband- Crown and Glory

My first outfit post in forever, I know!

I saw this jumper in Primark last week, and fell in love. It shows everything I love about Disney, never growing up, remaining young at heart, all that jazz. I also love the gold Tinkerbell, and how surprisingly comfy it is. Anyway, as I said, I fell in love with it, but, with payday a whole two weeks away and Christmas presents to get a start on, I thought I'd never get it. Then, yesterday, Lee surprised me with it. I was very happy indeed, and knew that I'd have to wear it today for photos. It has been raining all day here, so I had to rush out to get some snaps, stupid weather ruining everything. Lee's kitten Tigger also decided to come out for the photos, but soon changed his mind when he got dripped on.

Sayuri

Dress, shoes- Primark

Ever since I read Memoirs of a Geisha, I've become a fan of all things oriental. That is where this dress comes in. When I first saw it, I instantly thought, kimono. I don't know what it was about it that made me think that: the florals, the colours, or even the fact that it is silk. Maybe a combination of all three. All I know is, as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. Then I saw that it had been reduced to £5, I didn't even know that Primark had sales, and I decided I would buy it there and then.

I decided to wear the dress for a day out around Salford Quays, where we munched on baguettes, wandered around the water and even sat in deckchairs to watch the Wimbledon final. It was a lovely Sunday, and the fact that this dress is loose enough to hide a multitude of sins makes it even more perfect.

Tennis Whites

Dress, Blouse, Shoes- Primark
Sunglasses- My Little Box

As the most exciting two weeks in tennis in Britain draws to a close tomorrow, I thought what better time to indulge in a spot of all-white dressing? Wimbledon is well known for it's connotations with the colour white (as is all tennis I suppose, I had countless white tennis dresses as a kid), so, whenever the tournament comes around, I can't resist wearing the colour. This year I decided to keep it super simple, it was the heatwave after all, and just wear a simple white dress and blouse, both from Primark. I've been trying out the sunglasses I received in the June edition of My Little Box, and I like the shape of them, they're round without being too Oasis, and, because they're black, they match anything.

I'm off to eat some much needed strawberries and ice cream, happy Wimbledon final eve.

Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Dress, shoes- Primark
Hat- gift

If there's one thing in life I do appreciate, it's a good Summer dress. I got this one in Primark last year for the tiny sum of £6 and I've definitely got my money's worth. The print on it lasts through all the seasons, and it's light enough for Summer as well as being easy to layer up with in Winter. I think I like to describe my style as little girl meets Primary school teacher, and I think this outfit sums that up perfectly. I can definitely see myself wearing this again and again this Summer too. I paired it with a big floppy hat that I got as a holiday gift last year, and my failsafe Primark shoes.

Lemon Sorbet

Dress, shoes, jacket- Primark
Sunglasses- ASOS
Necklace- I Love Crafty
Lipstick- MAC Cinderella

I'm wearing something that's actually currently in the shops again! I first got this dress about three years ago from Primark, and, because the £5 dress is clearly a very popular style in the warmer months, it has been re released in a variety of colours, one being this lovely shade of lemon. I thought it was a perfect dress to wear with light layers in the warm weather that we've been having on and off recently.

This blog post also finally sees the debut (on here, anyway) of my I Love Crafty Cinderella necklace, which I've been wearing pretty much daily since it arrived. I'm actually thinking of ordering a castle too, to add to my collection.

Princess

T-shirt, skirt- Primark
Cardigan- Warehouse
Coat, shoes- Topshop

It's no secret that I'm a big Disney fan (I'm actually wearing Bambi slippers whilst typing this), so when I saw this t-shirt on Disney pro fan Megan's Instagram, I knew I had to get one myself. Cue me the very next day rushing into Primark on my dinner hour to find it. Luckily, that didn't take too long and I still had plenty of time to eat my soup, but I digress. This t-shirt is the main focus of this post Nic, not your leek & potato soup.

Anyway, I decided to go all-out princess (sans crown) for this outfit. I once heard a little girl tell her mum that she thought I was a princess once whilst wearing this skirt, so it's princessy to me, and obviously I wore a cardigan because it's super cold STILL. I can definitely see myself getting a lot of wear out of this t-shirt in the future.

Tapestry

Dress, jumper- Primark
Shoes- Topshop

I know you're thinking I must be mad, going outside sans coat in this weather, but it was only for about ten minutes, I got sick of coats dominating all of my outfit posts. The quick pop out to take outfit pictures is also the reason I'm in exactly the same place as my last outfit post (Lee's back garden, fyi) it's simply too cold lately to spend much time outdoors. Anyway, moan about the weather over.

I first got this dress to wear to go to afternoon tea for my birthday last year, but I wanted to wear it in the chillier months too, so I layered it over a jumper, which I seem to have a tiny bit of a reputation for these days. I'm wearing all Primark, as ever, and I can certainly see myself incorporating more of my Spring clothes into my Winter wardrobe now.

Tea, Toast and Turtlenecks

Jumper- Paris
Skirt, boots- Primark

Two outfit posts in two days! I love being off work, it gives me much more time to be creative and do things for this tiny little piece of the internet. This outfit is pretty much a go to for me in when the weather cools down: a jumper and a skirt. Hardly groundbreaking, I know, but it's nice and easy to throw on, and easy to carry from my house to Lee's when I'm staying there.

Speaking of me and Lee, we can finally start saving to move out properly now, hooray! It has been a long process, but now we're in a position where we can start sorting everything out to move, which is obviously great news, we can't stay at home forever now, can we?

I'll stop wearing my hair like this soon, I promise! What are your go-to outfits for the colder weather?

Many Florals

Top- Orla Kiely x Uniqlo
Skirt, Coat- Topshop
Boots- Primark

My oh my, hasn't the weather gone downhill? Obviously up here in Manchester it's raining, it always is. Yesterday it was sunny but cold, so this Orla Kiely x Uniqlo heattech top came in very useful indeed. I got it for Christmas last year in two patterns, and everytime I have the tiniest bit of time off work, out they come. Here I paired it with a lacy flowery Topshop skirt that's now too big for me, brown Primark boots, and my favourite coat I've ever owned, which was also a Christmas present last year. I adore pastels, so this pink coat was obviously going to be my favourite, I'm getting the blue one this year too.

Sorry for the sunlight in these photos, we couldn't find a good spot where the sun wasn't poking its head in.
