30 Before 30 Update

It is now only nine months until I turn 30 (scary, I know) and I compiled a 30 before 30 list jut after my birthday in May. Today, as it is my birthday in exactly nine months, I thought I would share a little update, like the one I did in June. So here we go.

2. Have every character meal at Disneyland Paris.
I have started to complete this one, having now eaten at both Cafe Mickey and Inventions, I now only have two more to go.

3. Book a trip to another Disney park.
I have officially booked my 30th birthday trip to Walt Disney World.

6. Complete an A-Z reading challenge.
I now only have I, Q and X left to read.

7. Write a fantasy novel.
I have started this one.

8. Go to a new place on holiday.
This one is happening on Friday. Lee and I are going to Amsterdam for the weekend.

18. Drink more water.
I now do this one, I drink at least 1 litre of water per day. Yay me.

25. Get a Disney or Harry Potter tattoo.
I have now decided on the tattoo I want, now it's just getting the money together for it.

27. Write a Disneyland Paris travel guide.
I am well on my way with this one.

28. Eat at as many places in Disneyland Paris as I can.
I am also on my way with this one, I ate at three new places on my most recent trip; Inventions, Hakuna Matata and Au Chalet de la Marionette.

29. Go on a team swim holiday.
This one was achieved in June, when we went to Disneyland Paris together.

What a successful month, I'll give you another update next month.

Disney Trip Bucket List

So you may or may not know (of course you know, it's all I ever talk about) that I am going to Disneyland Paris on Tuesday with my lovely friend Rachel, and, as is tradition, I am going to do a Disney trip bucket list. Rachel is doing one too, which you can see on her delightful blog here. I love doing these little lists, and I like to see how many of them I can actually do. Seeing as I'm going for three days this time, I thought I would make this a list of 15 things rather than my usual 10. So, without further ado, here are 15 things I want to do on this Disneyland Paris trip:

1. See all of the new 25th anniversary stuff, including meeting the characters in their sparkly new outfits.
2. Meet a princess and prince together.
3. Ride Tower of Terror.
4. Buy at least one of the 25th anniversary limited edition pins (if I can).
5. Fill (or almost fill) an autograph book.
6. Get some last on Main Street photos.
7. Eat at Annette's Diner (yep, I still haven't been).
8. Have some castle photos.
9. Get an annual Photopass.
10. Eat some Mickey shaped food.
11. Meet Chip and Dale.
12. Try and go in the Princess Pavillion at least once.
13. Get a fastpass.
14. Go to Extra Magic Hours everyday.
15. Make sure Rachel has the most magical trip ever.

I hope I get to do all of these things, and all of the 15 things on Rachel's list too. I'm sure we will, and I will report back to you on how we do.

MCM Bucket List

I know my blog is a bit bucket list heavy recently, but I've got an exciting week coming up, which is unusual for me, so I want to get excited for it in my own little way, I promise I'll stop with the lists soon though, don't worry. But for today, here are the things I want to do at this October's MCM Comic Con.

1. Make a cosplay music video.
2. Get some professional pictures taken.
3. Go to the Disney meet.
4. Get a small yellow alpaca.
5. Get at least one Disney pin.
6. Get something Sailor Moon themed.
7. Take some amazing photos.
8. Get some matcha tea chocolate.
9. Catch a panel.
10. Watch the cosplay masquerade.

So there we have it. I think I'll actually get to do a lot of the things on this list.

Spring Bucket List

I absolutely adore Spring, it's my favourite season (and yes, now that it's March I'm classing it as Spring) I just love all the prospects that Spring brings. With that in mind, I thought I'd create a little Spring bucket list for some small things I'd like to do this Spring.

1. Bake some Easter treats
2. Film a Spring lookbook
3. Go to another convention
4. Visit a new city
5. Plant some flowers
6. Make two new cosplays
7. Go for afternoon tea
8. Make my own jam
9. Go swimming regularly
10. Finish reading the Sailor Moon manga

So there's my little list, I hope I get to do all of these things. Do you want to do anything this Spring?

Summer Bucket List

With the start of the meteorological Summer on Monday (even though it definitely doesn't feel like it) I thought it'd be a perfect time to share my Summer bucket list with you. I've not done very well with these lists so far, so I'm determined to complete this one. So, without further ado, here we go:

1. Get to Disneyland flipping Paris.
2. Make my own lemonade.
3. Make my own ice lollies.
4. Eat outdoors as often as possible.
5. Make a daisy chain.
6. Go swimming.
7. Go to the beach.
8. Use my Instax camera more.
9. Get back into baking.
10. Try a new place to eat.

I've reduced my list to ten this time, as I think it's far more achieveable, hopefully I'll get them all done, I'll keep you all updated.

Spring Bucket List

For the past couple of days it has really started to feel like Spring. It's been lighter, it's been warmer (finally!) and my general mood has been happier. So what better day to post my Spring bucket list. I've done one of these for Autumn and Winter, and kind of failed so far, so I'm determined to do all the things on this list.

1. Go on holiday/ take a trip
We are planning on going to Paris in May, so that's the holiday bit taken care of, but I also love going on day trips in Spring, so I'm hoping we'll go on a fair few of those too.

2. Make some Easter treats
I love baking, and any time there's a holiday or occasion, themed baking is my favourite thing to do. So, with Easter around the corner, I plan on making some treats.

3. Celebrate mine & Lee's birthdays in style
We always like to make a bit of an effort for our birthdays, and since they're about 10 days apart, I'm going to make sure we have a great time on both days.

4. Make Megan's Easter nests
These Easter nests of Megan's look divine, and I'm planning on making them this year.

5. Pick flowers
6. Plant flowers
These two go hand in hand, flowers are the most Spring-like thing I can think of, so picking them and planting them were obviously going to feature on this list. Any recommendations on which flowers to plant are welcome.

7. Make another costume
Lee and I are planning on going to Comic Con in May, so that means dressing up. I'm planning on making different costumes for each day.

8. Buy a boater hat
Boater hats are my favourite warm weather hats, but the one I have is a fancy dress, one size fits all job, so I want to get one that actually fits me.

9. Go for a picnic
This is my number one Spring past time, so this one will 100% be completed.

10. Discover a new park.
As big park fans, myself and Lee have been to pretty much all the parks in the local area, but this Spring I want to look really hard to find a new one.

That's my Spring bucket list, fingers crossed it gets completed. You can follow my Spring inspiration over on Pinterest here

Winter Bucket List Progress

It's the second to last day of 2014, how crazy is that?! I thought today I'd do a little progress of my Winter Bucket List

1. Wear more red lipstick.
I love red when it's December. And I love red lipstick. The only problem I have with red lipstick is I'm afraid of looking too Glenn Close. However, I decided to not let that get in my way, and I've tried to wear red lipstick as much as I can.

3. Make a gingerbread house.
I did this the Saturday before Christmas. It didn't stay together for very long but it was delicious and fun to make. I think it's going to become a little tradition for me and my friend Sam. You can find my recipe here.

4. Watch White Christmas.
My absolute favourite Christmas film, I watch it year in, year out.

6. Buy something in the sales.
I bought these shoes and this skirt in the Topshop sale today with the gift card I got for working Boxing Day. The best part: the skirt cost £5!

8. Try Lush bath bombs.
A few weeks ago, I asked a couple of big Lush fans on Twitter which the best products to use were, and a few said Snow Angel, so I tried it. I loved it, I'll definitely use Lush again when I want to treat myself.

I'm actually surprised at how many of my items (?) I managed to tick off in December, only a few left to go now.

Winter Bucket List

Welcome to the first day of #BigBlogmasProject2014, which is basically blogging every day in December. I'm really excited to be taking part in it, so expect some rather Christmassy posts over here.

The first theme is a general Winter post, so I thought that was a perfect excuse for my Winter bucket list. So here we go.

1. Wear more red lipstick.
2. Take a Winter trip.
3. Make a gingerbread house.
4. Watch White Christmas.
5. Build a snowman.
6. Buy something in the sales.
7. Make something Christmassy.
8. Try Lush bath bombs.
9. Drink a seasonal hot drink.

And, as ever

10. Don't moan about the weather.

What's on your Winter bucket list?

Autumn Bucket List Progress

When I first started this blog, I wrote an Autumn Bucket List to help me get excited about Autumn. Now, with it being about half way through the season, I thought I'd give you all a bit of an update on the things I've done from the list, and how it's all going.

3. Pick some conkers.
Because of the less than great end to August, the conkers were around a bit earlier than usual (I think) this year, and I took full advantage of that one morning whilst out walking.

12. Get excited about outfit combinations including knitwear.

I love a good pastel jumper, and, whilst the weather hasn't actually been too bad for the start of Autumn, it is still very cold in my work, so I've had ample opportunity to dig out my jumpers.

1. Learn how to carve a pumpkin.
I've not actually done this yet, but this tutorial from I Love Crafty will certainly help.

2. Bake some pumpkin goodies.
Similarly with the above, I've not done this yet, but I have some recipes saved, so as soon as I get round to buying a pumpkin I'll be doing this.

8. Drink lots of hot chocolate.
I have done this a lot. And I even have a new cup to drink it from.

16. Don't whinge about the cold.
I've managed this one by default really, because it hasn't actually been cold, hooray.

So there we go, my bucket list so far. I need to get myself into action again to finish it, but it's safe to say I'm enjoying the little things Autumn has had to offer.

Embracing Autumn

Well, now that it's September, Autumn is officially here, a time of year I usually dread. I dislike being cold, I dislike the rain, and I really dislike wearing jeans. However, this year I have decided to not hate life until next Spring. And inspired by Megan's Summer Bucket List and Elizabeth's 20 Things to do this Autumn, I've decided to create my own little Autumn Bucket List.

1. Learn how to carve a pumpkin, and do it!
2. Bake some pumpkin goodies.
3. Pick some conkers.
4. Knit a new scarf.
5. Buy some new gloves (not from Primark; ones that will last)
6. Take some photographs of all the lovely colours Autumn has to offer.
7. Go berry picking.
8. Drink lots of hot chocolate.
9. Make a Halloween costume.
10. Make some Autumn decorations (even if it's just candles).
11. Eat some seasonal fruit/veg.
12. Get excited about outfit combinations including knitwear.
13. Take an Autumn trip.
14. Learn how to make crumble.
15. Make my own soup.

And, last but not least,

 16. Don't whinge about the cold.

I think doing all of these things will finally make me excited about Autumn. I know some of them are really small things, like drinking hot chocolate, but I really do not appreciate all the wonder that Autumn brings. At all. It just makes me sad to not be in education anymore, yes, that's right; I love education. So hopefully, this list will work. I'll keep you all updated, and be sure to follow my Autumn Inspiration board on Pinterest to see more Autumn things that inspire me.
